Position Summary:
The Baker is responsible for producing a variety of desserts, breads, and pastries with consistency, creativity, and attention to detail. This role requires a passion for baking, a commitment to quality, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and bake desserts, breads, and pastries according to recipes and standards.
- Ensure proper portioning, presentation, and consistency of all baked goods.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary baking station.
- Properly label, date, and store ingredients and finished products.
- Monitor ingredient levels and communicate inventory needs.
- Collaborate with chefs and other kitchen staff to ensure smooth and timely service.
Qualifications:
- Previous pastry or baking experience required; formal pastry/culinary training a plus.
- Knowledge of baking techniques, ingredient functions, and kitchen equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in presentation.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a high-volume environment.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
