LPN Role/Responsibilities
- The Licensed Practical Nurse provides professional nursing care on a designated unit in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Roxbury Treatment Center.
- The Licensed Practical Nurse is accountable for assigned nursing care activities on a shift basis and is responsible for promoting and enhancing professional nursing practice on the unit under the direction of the Nurse Manager or DON.
- Monitors and documents patient condition and interventions provided reporting finding to the unit Charge Nurse/RN
- Monitors Nursing and Clinical Care plans and participates in Treatment Team meetings as necessary
- Provides supportive counseling and patient education
- The Licensed Practical Nurse facilitates medication administration activities in accordance with safe medication practices , including patient education
- The Licensed Practical Nurse responds to all crisis/emergency events to direct staff and ensure patient safety

Qualifications

- Graduate of an accredited licensed practical nursing program
- One year prior experience in D&A and/or mental health nursing preferred but not required
- Licensure and registration by the Pennsylvania Board of Nurse Examiners as a licensed practical nurse.
