As the Sales Manager for Rowmark you will be responsible for leading, coaching, and developing a high-performing sales team consisting of 4-5 direct reports across outside sales and sales support roles. This position drives revenue growth, margin performance, and customer satisfaction by executing effective sales strategies, managing key accounts, and partnering cross-functionally with Marketing, Customer Service, and Operations. The Sales Manager ensures alignment between field sales execution and Rowmark’s overall business objectives.
Additional Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Sales Leadership & Team Management
• Directly manage, coach, and develop 4–5 sales team members, including outside sales representatives and sales support staff
• Establish clear performance expectations, goals, and accountability metrics aligned with company objectives
• Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, performance reviews, and coaching sessions to drive individual and team success
• Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of new sales team members
Sales Strategy & Execution
• Develop and execute sales plans and territory strategies to achieve or exceed revenue and margin targets
• Collaborate with Marketing to align sales initiatives with customer buying trends, product positioning, and promotional strategies
• Support pricing and product strategies to improve profitability and market competitiveness
• Track and analyze key sales metrics, pipeline activity, forecasts, and results to ensure consistent performance
Customer & Account Management
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and strategic accounts
• Assist sales representatives with complex negotiations, account development, and customer issue resolution
• Ensure an outstanding customer experience through effective coordination with sales support and internal teams
• Monitor sales activity, order flow, inventories, and custom order progress to ensure customer satisfaction
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Partner closely with Customer Service, Operations, Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Finance to support sales execution and resolve issues
• Communicate market trends, customer feedback, and competitive insights to internal stakeholders
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to sales processes, tools, and customer engagement
Industry Engagement & Reporting
• Attend industry trade shows, conferences, and customer events to promote Rowmark and identify growth opportunities
• Prepare and deliver accurate sales reports, forecasts, and performance summaries for leadership
• Complete additional projects and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field required; MBA preferred
• Minimum of 7–10 years of progressive experience in B2B sales, including prior people leadership or sales team management experience
• Experience managing outside sales representatives and sales support functions preferred
• Strong knowledge of distribution, manufacturing, or industrial products; familiarity with signage, engraving, or decorative plastics markets a plus
• Demonstrated success developing and executing sales strategies that drive revenue and margin growth
• Proficiency with CRM systems, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Willingness and ability to travel approximately 30–40% for customer visits, team coaching, and industry events
