What are the responsibilities and job description for the ADON & Wound Care Nurse position at Rowlett Health and Rehabilitation Center?
Under the supervision of the Director of Nursing or designee, our Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) is responsible for assigned units, wound care rounding, administrative and clinical operation, and care coordination of the assigned unit(s).
Our Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) is accountable for supervision of nursing staff as well as for enforcing staff adherence to established policies, procedures, and ensuring that the standards of nursing practice are in alignment with the organizational, regulatory, and nationally recognized professional standards and evidence-based practice. Call as assigned in rotation.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES of the Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON):
- Identifies, interprets, and evaluates patient care needs through continuous surveillance, patient rounding, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Participates in hiring and assignment of appropriate nursing personnel and is responsible for periodic evaluation of staff performance.
- Daily tasks may include scheduling, risk management and family communication.
- Rounding with the wound doctor weekly.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $73,000.00 per year
