Veterinary Assistant

Rowland Veterinary Services is looking for a reliable, hands-on Veterinary Assistant to join our growing mixed-animal team! In this role, you will:

• Assist with patient preparation and recovery during surgical and dental procedures
• Support both small and large animal appointments, including handling, restraint, and exam prep
• Perform laboratory sample collection and in-house testing
• Assist with radiology, phlebotomy, and SQ injections
• Communicate with clients during check-ins and discharges with professionalism and empathy

Schedule: Full-time position offering a flexible 4x10 or 5x8 schedule, Monday–Friday. No on-call or emergency hours!

Full-time benefits and compensation**:

• Compensation: $15-18 per hour, for each hour worked*
• Bonus package: $500 for those with 3 years of consecutive, current VA experience

Minimum qualifications and skill set:

• 3 years of veterinary experience in a clinical setting
• Previous Large animal experience is REQUIRED
• Proficiency in the following skills:
  • Phlebotomy and SQ injections
  • Laboratory sample collection and inpatient care
  • Surgical assisting and patient prep
