Requirements / Qualifications
POSITION There is one (1) immediate Structural Supervisor position available, eight (8) hours per day, five (5) days per week, twelve (12) months per year. An eligibility list is being established to fill the current vacancy. SUMMARY OF DUTIES Under the Director of the Director of Maintenance and Operations, serves as a working supervisor over assigned structural skilled trades workers and maintenance personnel; trains, supervises, and evaluates the work of assigned employees, plans, estimates, schedules and inspects work to ensure compliance with department procedures and safe working practices; and performs skilled structural maintenance duties in inspection, repair, installation and alteration of carpentry, locksmithing, swimming pools, general maintenance.
QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION: Graduation from high school or its equivalency is required. Courses in the structural trades are desirable. EXPERIENCE: Three years of full-time journey level experience in one or more of the structural trades (e.g. carpentry, locksmith, painting) is required. Lead worker or supervisory experience is desirable. LICENSE/LANGUAGE REQUIREMENT: • A valid, Class C, California Driver License, and a good driving record is required and must be maintained during employment. Required • Completion of the Asbestos Containing Building Material (ACBM) training within the probationary period.
