Job description

Content production intern

Rowan is looking for a detail-oriented, creative intern to join our team in River North. This is a hands-on role for someone who loves video, moves fast, and wants to learn what it looks like to build content at a growing startup.

You'll work directly with our head of production, Brett, on video editing and post-production. You'll also help manage our social media posting schedule across Instagram, LinkedIn, and other channels.

This is 20 hours a week, in person, in our River North office. Pay is $20–$25/hour depending on your skills and experience.

Primary responsibilities

• Edit short-form and long-form video content under the direction of our head of production
• Assist with color correction, audio cleanup, captioning, and export formatting
• Organize and manage raw footage and project files

Secondary responsibilities

• Maintain and execute our social media posting calendar
• Schedule content across Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, and YouTube
• Flag opportunities to repurpose video into social-ready clips

What we're looking for

• Experience with video editing software (Premiere Pro)
• Familiarity with social media platforms and scheduling tools
• Strong attention to detail and a good eye for pacing and storytelling
• Ability to work independently and manage time across multiple projects
• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a program in film, media production, marketing, communications, or a related field

Bonus points for

• Experience with Canva or Figma
• Knowledge of short-form video trends (Reels, Shorts, TikTok)
• Any prior work with brand or marketing content
