Adjunct Faculty - Department of Communication Studies

The Communication Studies Department at Rowan University is seeking adjuncts to teach Public Speaking and Digital Presentations. The ability to teach additional courses such as Interpersonal Communication, Business & Professional Communication, and Technical Speaking for Engineers is a plus. Experience of teaching online and working with Neurodivergent and Honors students is also a desired asset. Qualified candidates must have at least an MA or MS in Communication Studies (or a closely related field) as well as teaching experience at the college level. Having the flexibility to teach afternoons and evenings is preferred.

Positions are dependent on funding and current need; applications will be screened on a rolling basis. Applications will be retained for future need if immediate openings are unavailable.

Please note: candidates must be eligible to work in the United States. The University will not sponsor a visa for this position.

In compliance with The State of New Jersey's Pay Transparency Act, and in accordance with the current MOA, Rowan University adjuncts are provided with a minimum of $2,100 per credit for all courses taught, with a maximum teaching load of 8 credits per semester and 12 credits in an academic year. Courses will be assigned to instructors by College & Department on an as-needed basis.
