What are the responsibilities and job description for the PACE TEACHER (PASSIONS AND CAREER EXPLORATION) position at Rowan-Salisbury Schools?
Position: PACE Teacher (Passions and Career Exploration)
Reports to: Administrative Team (Principal and Assistant Principal)
Purpose: To promote unique life goals, interpersonal skills, and student leadership for grades kindergarten
through fifth based on the RSS Directional System and MSES House System
Qualifications: Must hold a current and valid professional educator license. Ability to foster positive rapport
in schools and community.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan and design age-appropriate instruction for kindergarten through fifth grade students to explore and connect with unique life goals.
- Promote the exploration of student interests through engaging and relevant lessons.
- Provide engaging activities to build interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Promote the MSES House system as identified by the Teacher Led Design Team
- Build community support, partnerships, and outreach
- Flexible schedule which may include some evening meetings and workshops.
- Design and deliver age-appropriate lessons on different career clusters, helping students explore diverse
- Create hands-on activities that engage students in problem solving, teamwork, and creativity.
- Introduce foundational concepts in art, communication, business, marketing, STEM, healthcare, and natural resources through interactive projects and discussions.
- Organize guest speakers, field trips, or virtual career experiences to connect students with real-world professionals
- Promote accessibility in career education, ensuring all students feel empowered to pursue their interests.
