BUS MONITOR
REPORTS TO: TRANSPORTATION DIRECTOR OR DESIGNEE
Job Description
General Statement of Duties:
Possess attentive observation skills and good communication skills to verbally manage behaviors. Ability to understand the individual needs of students. Exhibit good independent judgment. Possess a good sense of direction to learn and remember the bus route.
Illustrative Examples of Work:
· Monitor students’ behavior.
· Report problems and concerns of students to School Administrator.
· Provide verbal support to the bus driver as they transport students to and from school.
· Exercise proper independent judgment in emergencies by selecting the action to take from ones that have been planned by higher authority.
· Learn and remember the bus route.
· Verbally correct student behaviors, as needed.
· Have students always remain seated while the school bus is in motion.
Special Requirements:
The position may require traveling from various schools based on where the need is.
Salary : $16 - $20
