Job Title: Viking Success Instructional Coach
Description: To deliver direct support based on specific and identified needs of the district and school staff aligned with Comprehensive School and District Improvement Plans. Responsibilities include coaching, mentoring and providing technical assistance/consultation for classroom teachers and students with emphasis on standards-aligned, effective, high-yield instructional practices/strategies through professional learning sessions and Professional Learning Community meetings (to include effective use of data). Leadership responsibilities include serving as part of the assigned building’s Leadership Team to support evidence-based practices planning and implementation.
Requirements include: Valid Kentucky teaching certification for elementary, middle or high; minimum of seven (7) years of successful classroom teaching experience (preferred).
Instructional Coach must possess qualities of effective leadership (certification preferred) and knowledge of high-yield instructional strategies for elementary, middle or high as well as excellent computer/technology skills. Communication skills and interpersonal traits that personify excellence will be necessary.
This is a full-time district position, housed at the school level, with a 200 day contract.
