Role Description The Work-Based Learning Internship Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based in Concord, NC. This position coordinates and oversees internship and work-based learning experiences, aligning opportunities with academic programs and employer needs. Day-to-day responsibilities include recruiting and supporting students, cultivating and maintaining relationships with employer partners, and matching learners to appropriate internship placements. The coordinator collaborates with faculty and staff to integrate work-based learning into curricula, monitors student progress, and ensures compliance with institutional and regulatory guidelines. The role also involves maintaining accurate records, using learning management systems to track participation and outcomes, and promoting work-based learning opportunities through outreach and information sessions.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess skills in Training & Development and Education to design, coordinate, and support effective work-based learning experiences.
• Candidates should possess proficiency in Learning Management and Learning Management Systems to manage internship processes, track student engagement, and report outcomes.
• Candidates should possess strong Communication skills to collaborate with students, faculty, staff, and employer partners and to present information clearly in written and verbal formats.
• Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree in education, counseling, human resources, business, or a related field are preferred.
• Experience in career services, workforce development, academic advising, or internship coordination in an educational setting is beneficial.
• Demonstrated organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple partnerships and student placements are advantageous.
• Knowledge of local and regional workforce trends and a commitment to equity, inclusion, and student success are valuable.
