Position Summary:
Rowan-Cabarrus Community College is seeking a part-time Coordinator to assist our rapidly expanding Emergency Medical Services (EMS) department. Our part-time EMS Coordinator would assist in the administrative and quality oversight of EMS educational programs while also maintaining a teaching load in EMS classes or clinical. The EMS Coordinator would also be responsible for assisting in instructional design, class visits, class builds, class grading, and instructor support.
Required Education/Experience:
- Associates degree or higher in EMS or related public safety or allied health field
- North Carolina Paramedic
- Level I or higher EMS instructor credential within one year of employment.
- At least two years of experience as an EMS provider and educator.
Preferred Education/Experience/Skills:
- Bachelors Degree
- Level II instructor
- Instructor Certifications in ACLS, PALS, BTLS,CPR
Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Operational knowledge of the NC Office of EMS guidelines for EMS programs, Technical Scope of Practice guidelines, NC EMS credentialing, National Registry credentialing, CoAEMSP accreditation, and on-line learning management systems.
