Right of Way Mats is hiring an experienced sawyer at the Linden Mill, 1958 US-412, Linden, TN (Perry County).
The job
- Operate the mill, sawing hardwood logs
- Read each log and make opening-face and turning decisions for best yield and grade
- Hit shift production targets while holding size and squareness
- Monitor saw condition, flag maintenance needs, and assist with saw changes
- Work safely around the carriage, log deck, and crew
Details
- Starting at $30.00 per hour, 40 hours per week
- Immediate start
- Day Shift 6 am - 3 pm, Evening Shift 3 pm - 11 pm
Requirements
- Prior experience as a sawyer on a band head rig or Hurdle mill
- Hardwood experience preferred (oak, hickory, poplar)
- 18 or older
- Reliable transportation and on-time attendance
- Steel-toe boots required
