Position Summary
ROW Educational Services is seeking passionate and knowledgeable Resource Specialist Teachers (Education Specialists) to provide specialized academic instruction and comprehensive case management services for students with disabilities in preschool through high school settings. The ideal candidate is student-centered, collaborative, and knowledgeable in California special education law and evidence-based instructional practices.
Essential Responsibilities
- Provide Specialized Academic Instruction (SAI) in individual and small-group settings.
- Serve as the primary case manager for assigned students.
- Develop, facilitate, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Write measurable present levels of performance, goals, accommodations, and service recommendations.
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families.
- Implement accommodations, modifications, and evidence-based instructional strategies.
- Support compliance with IDEA, Section 504, and California Education Code.
- Participate in multidisciplinary assessments and eligibility meetings.
- Maintain compliance with district, SELPA, and state timelines.
- Foster positive relationships with students and families through effective communication and collaborative problem-solving.
Qualifications
- Valid California Education Specialist Credential (Mild/Moderate, Mod/sev)
- EL Authorization
- Knowledge of IDEA, California Education Code, and IEP procedures
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with SEIS, Welligent, or similar IEP management systems preferred
