Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors, including scrubbing, buffing, waxing, and refinishing to maintain optimal floor care standards.
- Handle cleaning tasks across different areas such as offices, restrooms, lobbies, and hallways using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemicals.
- Operate floor cleaning machines, including floor buffers, polishers, and carpet cleaners, ensuring proper use and maintenance.
- Apply floor cleaning chemicals safely while adhering to environmental and safety regulations; manage chemical agent handling responsibly.
- Conduct manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting of furniture or cleaning equipment to facilitate thorough cleaning processes.
- Maintain cleanliness by dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces regularly to uphold hygiene standards.
- Support custodial operations by managing janitorial supplies inventory and ensuring all cleaning tools are in good working condition.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services with knowledge of janitorial procedures.
- Skilled in floor scrubbing, buffing, waxing, and carpet cleaning techniques to deliver high-quality results.
- Ability to handle cleaning chemicals safely and effectively while following health and safety guidelines.
- Strong manual handling skills with the physical stamina to perform heavy lifting tasks comfortably.
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude when interacting with clients or visitors.
- Familiarity with various cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, polishers, vacuums, and steam cleaners.
