Responsibilities
- Interpret mechanical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately assemble components.
- Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and shop math to verify dimensions and ensure assembly accuracy.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, and specialized industrial tools to assemble mechanical parts and systems.
- Follow detailed production documents and assembly instructions to maintain consistency and quality throughout the manufacturing process.
- Conduct manual handling of parts and assemblies safely while adhering to personal protective equipment (PPE) protocols.
- Perform quality checks using measuring instruments to identify discrepancies or defects during assembly.
- Assist with machining processes or soldering tasks as needed, supporting continuous workflow in the manufacturing environment.
Skills
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and interpreting technical drawings for mechanical assemblies.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical assembly techniques and the use of hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, and specialized industrial equipment.
- Experience with precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other measuring devices.
- Ability to perform shop math accurately for measurements and calculations related to assembly tasks.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes including machining, soldering, and interpreting production documents.
- Warehouse experience is a plus, demonstrating familiarity with manual handling and inventory procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail combined with a safety-first mindset when working with mechanical components and machinery.
