Duties
- Prepare vehicle surfaces by sanding, masking, and cleaning to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
- Apply primer, base coats, clear coats, and touch-up paint using airless paint spraying equipment and hand tools.
- Perform auto body repairs including dent removal, welding, and panel alignment to restore vehicles to factory specifications.
- Conduct buffing and polishing to achieve a smooth, glossy finish that exceeds customer expectations.
- Assist with auto glass installation and repairs as needed to ensure safety and quality standards are met.
- Use power tools and hand tools efficiently for various repair and finishing tasks.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols for heavy lifting and chemical handling.
Qualifications
- Proven dealership or auto body shop experience with a strong background in auto painting and restoration.
- Mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, and auto repair equipment.
- Skilled in auto estimating procedures and customer service to effectively communicate with clients about repairs.
- Experience with auto glass replacement, detailing, auto maintenance, and auto body repair techniques.
- Knowledge of welding techniques and auto restoration processes is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail throughout the job process.
