Duties
- Diagnose and repair advanced automotive systems including powertrains, transmissions, electrical systems, and diesel engines using schematics and automotive diagnostics tools.
- Perform comprehensive vehicle maintenance such as oil changes, brake repairs, wheel alignments, and suspension work with precision and attention to detail.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialized automotive service equipment to execute repairs efficiently.
- Conduct ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) calibrations and ensure proper functioning of safety features on modern vehicles.
- Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic codes to troubleshoot complex issues accurately.
- Lead by example in maintaining a clean, organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with service advisors to provide accurate auto estimating and communicate repair findings clearly to customers.
Qualifications
- Proven dealership or automotive repair experience with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and mechanical repairs.
- Extensive knowledge of automotive electrical systems, powertrains, transmissions, and diesel engine repair.
- Skilled in using schematics, diagnostic software, and testing equipment for precise troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with ADAS calibration, wheel alignment machines, and vehicle maintenance procedures.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other automotive service tools.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent customer service skills and the ability to explain technical issues clearly.
- Prior experience working with GM vehicles or similar brands is a plus; certification in auto estimating or ASE certification is preferred.
