What are the responsibilities and job description for the Licensed Service Plumber position at Route 66 Plumbing?
We're looking for an experienced Service Plumber Technician to join our team. In this role, you'll travel to residential and/or commercial job sites to diagnose, repair, and install plumbing systems — everything from leaky faucets and clogged drains to water heaters and full pipe replacements. You'll work directly with customers, so a mix of technical skill and strong people skills is a must.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose plumbing issues and recommend effective, code-compliant repairs
- Install, repair, and maintain pipes, fixtures, water heaters, and other plumbing systems
- Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Provide accurate estimates and explain repair options to customers in plain language
- Maintain a clean, organized work vehicle and job site
- Complete work orders, invoices, and service documentation
- Follow all local plumbing codes and safety regulations
- Participate in on-call/emergency rotation as needed
Qualifications
- Valid plumbing license (or ability to obtain one) as required by state/local law
- Working knowledge of plumbing codes and safety standards
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in tight or awkward spaces
Nice to Have
- Experience with tankless water heaters,
- backflow prevention
Pay: $23.00 - $30.00 per hour
