Position Title : HVAC Technician
Department : Facilities

Position Summary / General Description :
A HVAC Technician maintains and repairs heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems at all LDC properties to ensure that temperature, humidity, and air quality systems are properly working in order to meet health and safety standards, as well as create a comfortable environment for customers and workers.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities :
Manage heating and air conditioning equipment to ensure that it is in the best possible working order.Must have experience or to be able to learn Trane Tracer BMS. Must be familiar with Building Maintenance SoftwareMaintain all mechanical, electrical, and electronic components and identify and repair or replacement of these components.Order new parts and maintaining an emergency replacement parts inventory.Maintain fresh filtered air to assure good air quality.Ensure humidity is controlled in the facility.Recover or recycle refrigerant in systems.Perform skilled electrical and mechanical maintenance work in the repair, installation and alteration of HVAC equipment, components, timers, motors and wiring systems as needed; connect motors to control panels.Install and calibrate systems; install copper tubing and repair pipes and tubing as necessary; test joints and insulate pipes of refrigeration and air conditioning systems; flush boilers, descale tubing; rebuild pressure and temperature safety valves and water pumps.Install, rebuild, replace or repair fans, motors, thermostats, fuses, filters, bearings, valves, controls, gaskets and other equipment as necessary.Analyze situations and data and take appropriate action.Establish and maintain effective and harmonious relationships with all departments.Plan, coordinate, and manage multiple work activities simultaneously.Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.Promote continuous improvement of workplace safety.Build relationships and loyalty with guests through sincere and meaningful interactions (e.g., learn guests’ names and preferences; connect with them individually and professionally; smile; make eye contact and verbally greet guests).Be a team player (e.g., work toward team goals and foster a collaborative and positive work environment; put the team first; assist coworkers; treat all coworkers with kindness, courtesy and respect; never engage in negativity; maintain openness to coaching, learning and improving; receptive to change and willingness to embrace challenges with team-spirit).At all times maintain a courteous, positive, and professional working relationship with all LDC personnel and the general public (e.g. clients and vendors).Work under pressure; maintain regular and punctual attendance including working odd and unusual hours, weekends and holidays.Perform additional duties and responsibilities as necessary or assigned.Education & Experience :
High School diploma or GED preferred.Relevant technical school or apprenticeship programs.Must have at least 10 years relevant work experience in troubleshooting and repairing HVAC equipmentLicensing & Certification :
Current State of New Mexico HVAC License. Minimum Journeyman license Certification to work on recovery or recycling of refrigerant.Computer Equipment, Software, Machinery :
Power lift to perform tasks up to 40 ft.Manual and electrical tools and equipment applicable to the HVAC and refrigeration trade.Air Compressors.Welding and soldering tools.Essential Physical Requirements :

None.Work Environment (inside / outside) :
The job is performed indoors and outdoors with frequent exposure to hot / cold temperatures, loud noises and occasional exposure to confined areas and fumes.Other Requirements :
Obtain and maintain a gaming license through the Pueblo of Laguna’s Gaming Control Board and must provide / maintain a valid New Mexico drivers’ license.Must pass a pre-employment drug screening.Varies
