Duties
- Lead diagnostic assessments using advanced automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately across various vehicle systems.
- Perform comprehensive repairs on engines, including diesel engine repair and automotive engine system repairs, ensuring optimal performance.
- Interpret automotive wiring diagrams and schematics to troubleshoot electrical systems such as automotive electrical systems and wiring harnesses.
- Oversee vehicle maintenance tasks including alignment, heavy lifting, welding, and general mechanical repairs with precision and safety.
- Mentor and supervise junior technicians by providing technical guidance on complex repairs, powertrain components, and other mechanical repairs.
- Ensure all work complies with manufacturer specifications, safety standards, and quality control procedures.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs performed, parts used, and diagnostics conducted to support warranty claims and service documentation.
Qualifications
- Proven dealership or automotive service center experience with a strong background in mechanic work.
- Extensive knowledge of automotive engine technology, powertrain systems, and vehicle systems diagnostics.
- Proficiency with automotive diagnostic tools and interpreting schematics for electrical wiring diagrams.
- Hands-on experience with diesel engine repair, ADAS calibration, wheel alignment, welding, and general mechanical is highly desirable.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and manual handling techniques safely for heavy lifting tasks.
- Mechanical knowledge complemented by excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients about repairs and maintenance needs.
- Ability to lead a team efficiently while maintaining high standards of safety and quality in all operations.
