Job Description
Housekeeping personnel needed for 25 room motel in Maggie Valley. Applicant must be able to perform all cleaning duties in a timely, professional manner and possess a keen eye for detail. The qualified person will need to be a team player with the ability to achieve goals that ensure company and individual success. The person also will need to be safety conscience and follow all safety and security guidelines. In addition, the applicant will need the ability to interact with clientele in a friendly, welcoming manner that adheres to our company standards. This position has the potential for advancement.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming of all guest rooms
Dusting, polishing, and cleaning furniture
Stripping and making beds to company requirements
Remove and replace all dirty linens
Clean and disinfect bathrooms including sinks, toilets, and showers
Assist in the laundry as needed. This will include washing, drying, folding, and storing all bedding and towels for rooms
Report any maintenance or security issues to management promptly
Requirements:
Self-starter who can work independently with little to no supervision.
Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
The ability to lift 25 pounds without assistance.
Work in a somewhat moderate to strenuous work environment.
Be able to stand for extended periods of time and be able to bend, pull, and reach for items overhead.
Honesty and dependability are of utmost importance.
Drug screening is required prior to employment.
Experience:
Housekeeping in a professional environment 1 year preferred but not required. Will train the right candidate.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $13.00 - $14.50 per hour
