What does a Suites at Rouse Cook do?
- Prepares large quantities of food in accordance with safety and sanitary regulations, established policies and procedures and standardized recipes.
- Serves and prepares food accurately and in accordance with established policies and procedures and standardized recipes.
- Utilizes and oversees the use of acceptable standards in the handling and storage of food products.
- Assures set-up and service of food is accurate and timely.
- Promotes and assist in adhering to strict sanitary and safety controls in the work area.
- Assists in overseeing dietary operations and dietary staff.
- Provide warm, welcoming dining experience for residents and their guests.
- Assist residents during meal time by helping residents locate their table, confirming their arrival s.
- Ensure that the dignity of all residents is preserved as you carry out working tasks.
Enhances department by working together as a team to accept ownership for tasks while exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. Other duties as assigned.
What are the requirements to be a Cook at the Suites at Rouse?
- Must be 18 years of age or older and possess a high school diploma or GED.
- Must have a minimum of one year cooking experience in a healthcare or long-term care facility (preferred), restaurant or commercial food service setting.
- Must demonstrate excellent listening and communication skills, both written and verbal, and be detail-oriented to ensure delivery of top-quality food service.
- Must demonstrate excellent time management skills and be team oriented.
