Rourke Fine Home Building is seeking a skilled, dependable, and self-motivated Carpenter to join our team building high-end custom homes throughout New Hampshire's Lakes Region. The ideal candidate is capable of working independently, takes ownership of their work, and contributes to a productive, team-oriented jobsite while delivering the highest standards of residential construction.
Responsibilities
- Perform all phases of high-end residential construction, including framing, exterior trim, interior trim, siding, decking, and finish carpentry
- Read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and shop drawings
- Complete work accurately, efficiently, and with exceptional attention to detail
- Operate hand and power tools safely and proficiently
- Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and fellow team members to maintain project schedules
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized jobsite
- Assist with material layout, organization, and jobsite logistics as needed
- Identify and communicate potential issues before they impact project quality or schedule
- Uphold company quality standards and safety practices throughout all phases of construction
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of residential carpentry experience (high-end custom home experience preferred)
- Proficient in framing, trim, siding, decking, and finish carpentry
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship
- Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Excellent problem-solving skills and strong work ethic
- Valid driver's license required
- Reliable transportation required (truck preferred)
- Personal hand tools required
- References required
