Role Description

The Accounts Payable and Receivable Team Lead oversees daily operations of the AP and AR functions to ensure timely, accurate, and efficient processing of transactions. This role supports financial accuracy, cash flow management, and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. The Team Lead supervises staff, manages workflow, and collaborates with internal departments to resolve issues and improve processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise AP processing including vendor invoice entry, approvals, and payments.
• Ensure adherence to company policies regarding invoice coding, approval limits, and payment timing.
• Reconcile vendor accounts and respond to vendor inquiries in a timely manner.
• Review and approve AP batches, ACH and check runs.
• Monitor aging reports and manage payment schedules to optimize cash flow.
• Oversee billing, cash applications, and collection activities.
• Monitor AR aging and coordinate collection efforts to reduce past due balances.
• Partner with business units to resolve billing disputes or unapplied cash issues.
• Ensure accurate recording of deposits and customer receipts.
• Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities.
• Support month-end close by ensuring all AP and AR transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
• Assist with audits by preparing schedules and responding to inquiries.
  
  
  

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• 3 years of combined AP/AR experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal control procedures.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
