The Insurance Claim Manager is responsible for RoundPoint’s insurance claim pipeline, ensuring properties are rebuilt after insured loss events, RoundPoint’s written Insurance Claims communications and customer tools, and monitoring/reporting on weather events that could cause insurable losses or loan delinquencies. The Manager oversees a team of specialists who approve disbursements, receive and process documents, review repair plans, schedule property inspections, and monitor insurance claims to completion. The Manager will build and maintain a quality monitoring program that ensures specialists process claims in adherence to applicable policies and procedures. The Manager is expected to find innovative ways to improve quality testing and claims processes.

The Manager is expected to develop and maintain key relationships with internal stakeholders (particularly RoundPoint’s Insurance and Default Contact Center teams), external vendors, and clients. Responsibilities
- Ensure claims flowing through the pipeline are processed within established SLAs and standards
- Coach and motivate the team to drive performance
- Detect process deviation; fine-tune detection mechanisms to improve precision
- Detect and report production and quality trends to management; recommend changes based on trends
- Monitor and report weather events that could impact claim pipelines and loan delinquencies
- Prepare responses to internal and external audits and QC examinations
- Prepare audit responses are cogent, stylistically appropriate, and accurate
- Track and report on testing, audit findings, remediation action plans, and improvement projects
- Execute additional duties/projects, as assigned
- Incumbent will be responsible for meeting RoundPoint’s commitment to compliance
Required:
- Bachelor's degree
- 3-5 years’ experience in the mortgage industry
- 3-5 years’ experience leading a team
- Strong financial controls background
- Proven track record both developing processes and detecting when processes are not followed
- Thorough knowledge of regulations and guidelines pertaining to Escrow and Special Loans, including but not limited to: CFPB Servicing Rules, RESPA, HPA, Biggert-Waters, SCRA, and GSE servicing requirements
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite
- Practical experience with BKFS
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to effectively interface with external clients and internal business partners
Desired
- Experience with Microsoft SQL
- Experience managing Escrow processes (e.g., tax, insurance, mortgage insurance)
- Certification from the Mortgage Bankers Association or other related professional organizations
- 5-7 years of related mortgage servicing experience
- Experience communicating with regulators, auditors, and financial examiners
