About The Role
We are seeking a skilled Multi-Family Field Superintendent to lead on-site construction operations for multifamily projects in the Boise, ID area. The Field Superintendent will manage day-to-day field activities, coordinate subcontractors and crews, enforce safety and quality standards, and drive efficiency across all aspects of construction. This role requires a hands-on leader who ensures projects stay on schedule, within budget, and exceed quality expectations, while fostering a high-performing, collaborative field team.

About The Role
We are seeking a skilled Multi-Family Field Superintendent to lead on-site construction operations for multifamily projects in the Boise, ID area. The Field Superintendent will manage day-to-day field activities, coordinate subcontractors and crews, enforce safety and quality standards, and drive efficiency across all aspects of construction. This role requires a hands-on leader who ensures projects stay on schedule, within budget, and exceed quality expectations, while fostering a high-performing, collaborative field team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day on-site construction activities, coordinating labor, materials, and equipment to ensure efficient and timely project execution.
- Lead and supervise on-site personnel and subcontractors to maintain a productive, high-performing team.
- Responsible for hiring, training, assigning work, evaluating performance and making recommendations regarding advancement, discipline, or separation for on-site team members.
- Ensure clear communication and collaboration among the construction team, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
- Develop, maintain, and track project look-ahead and master schedules to ensure milestones are met.
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure all work complies with OSHA and other regulatory standards.
- Conduct regular safety meetings, inspections, and audits to maintain a safe working environment.
- Ensure all construction work meets quality standards, design intent, and applicable building codes.
- Perform on-site inspections and resolve quality issues promptly to prevent delays or rework.
- Oversee procurement and delivery of materials and equipment, ensuring resources are on-site when needed and properly stored.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for field operations, providing updates and addressing issues with project management and subcontractors.
- Identify and resolve on-site challenges, delays, or conflicts through effective problem-solving and team collaboration.
- Maintain accurate records of project progress, inspections, and safety reports, ensuring documentation meets company and legal standards.
- Perform other related duties as assigned, in compliance with applicable laws and consistent with the essential functions of the role.
Required
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Field Superintendent in multifamily or similar construction.
- OSHA 30-Hour certification required.
- Proven experience managing field operations on large-scale multifamily projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, methods, and building codes.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret plans, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Proficient in construction management software and tools (e.g., Procore, Microsoft Project, Primavera, Smartsheet).
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
- Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with other departments and external stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of local building codes and construction regulations in the Boise, ID area.
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- CPR/First Aid Certification is preferred.
