Key Responsibilities
Manufacturing Process Leadership
- Oversee end-to-end manufacturing process development, including CNC programming, CMM programming, and advanced tool/fixture design.
Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement
- Lead initiatives in setup reduction, process standardization, visual work instructions, and productivity improvement.
- Drive Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen events, and other Lean transformation activities aligned with Crane’s operational strategy.
Capital & Budget Ownership
- Develop and manage departmental operating budgets.
- Prepare business cases for capital equipment investments, supporting growth and modern manufacturing capabilities.
Leadership of Technical Teams
- Lead teams across the Model Shop, Tool Room, and Tool Crib, ensuring alignment with Crane’s policies and bargaining agreements.
- Build a high-performing engineering culture grounded in collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
