Responsibilities of the Senior Manufacturing Engineering Manager:
- Lead Process Development: Oversee manufacturing process development, CNC and CMM programming, tool and fixture design, and validation to ensure compliance with company and customer requirements.
- Drive Operational Excellence: Champion process improvements, set-up reduction, and visual standard work to achieve cost reduction, productivity, and lead time goals.
- Support New Product Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cost-effective manufacturing of new or revised products, including labor, materials, tooling, and equipment.
- Manage Engineering Resources: Evaluate and prioritize engineering requests, ensuring feasibility and optimal resource allocation while maintaining AS9100 compliance.
- Lead Continuous Improvement: Drive Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, and other initiatives to support organizational goals and enhance operational efficiency.
- Budget and Capital Management: Prepare and manage departmental budgets, control expenses, and justify capital equipment investments for operations.
- Team Leadership: Guide and direct personnel in the Model Shop, Tool Room, and Tool Crib, ensuring adherence to company policies and compliance with applicable agreements.
