What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bowling & Events Associate (Family Entertainment Center) position at Round One Entertainment?
Round One Entertainment is hiring for our Bowling department at our new location at The Shops at Skyview in Flushing, NY.
This is a high paced work environment with our peak hours from 5 pm - 2 am and on the weekends. The majority of scheduled hours will be nights or weekends.
Position Details:
- Part-time (20–25 hours per week).
- $17-17.50 per hour.
- Store hours: 10:00 AM – 2:00 AM, including weekends and holidays.
Benefits:
- 1 hour arcade play per week (non-prize).
- 90 minutes of bowling per week (shoes included).
- 1 hour of karaoke or billiards per week.
- 50% off food during shifts.

Round1 Bowling & Arcade offers a full entertainment experience under one roof. Guests can enjoy bowling, arcade games (including exclusive Japan imports), crane machines, billiards, karaoke, and more. The venue also includes food, drinks, and bar service in a high-traffic environment.
Position Summary:
This role supports lane operations, guest service, and upkeep of bowling and activity areas.
Essential Duties:
- Operate POS system to assign lanes, process payments, and manage rentals.
- Assist guests with equipment and general questions.
- Clean and reset lanes, shoes, and activity areas.
- Support events, parties, and reservations.
- Perform basic equipment checks and report issues.
- Open and close the department (cash handling, cleaning, setup).
- Answer phone inquiries as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Work Environment:
Fast-paced bowling and arcade environment with loud noise, bright lights, and high guest traffic.
Physical Demands:
- Standing and walking for extended periods.
- Bending, reaching, and continuous movement.
- Lifting up to 100 lbs with assistance.
