What are the responsibilities and job description for the Building Maintenance and Project Crew 6/2025 position at Round Lake Area Park District?
The Round Lake Area Park District has a full-time opening for building maintenance and maintenance project team member.
This position is responsible for performing a variety of building maintenance tasks and facility projects, as well as assisting with the complete daily cleaning of our facilities, including locker rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and classrooms. This position will split time at our various park district facilities depending on facility programing. The preferred candidate is a responsible, reliable, and organized person capable of working independently and collaboratively with fellow team members. General knowledge of building maintenance, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and painting is required.
Typical Schedule:
Sunday- Thursday
8:30 am -5 pm
QUALIFICATIONS:
The qualified individual should be able to communicate clearly and effectively, and preferably six months experience in a maintenance and custodial setting.
Additionally, this candidate must have the ability to perform minor building repairs, including plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, and painting.
Must be well versed in all areas of building and custodial maintenance.
Basic supervisory skills are required.
Must be able to work cooperatively with district staff and as well as working independently on projects.
Must have basic knowledge and skills to use internal computer software programs including but not limited to email applications, BambooHR, shared files and online trainings.
Current CPR certification or ability to gain CPR certification is required.
Must have a valid driver's license and complete a criminal background check.
