Role Description

The Royalty Client Services Manager oversees the end-to-end royalty accounting and payment processes for Round Hill Music’s publishing and record label operations. This role ensures accurate and timely royalty processing, payment administration, and client service for a diverse roster of artists and rights holders. Managing a small team, the Manager works closely with the Finance, Copyright, and Sync teams to reconcile royalty data, address client inquiries, and maintain compliance with tax and audit requirements.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assist in the oversight of the end-to-end royalty accounting process, including processing, analysis, and administration of the company’s Record Label and Publishing royalties’ statements with an emphasis in Client Services and Royalty Payables
• Manage the entire royalty payment process, including gathering necessary tax information and payment details from clients and working closely with the Finance department to ensure requested payments are accurate 
• Posting and tracking all payments requested by the Royalty team
• Manage the Royalty Clients’ portal and Client Concerns
• Manage a team of two royalty department coordinators on the payables side
• Work closely with the Finance team to track outgoing Cash and Reconciliation, Audits, IRS Tax documentation, and ad-hoc projects as needed
• Meet regularly with the Zync and Copyright teams to ensure all client details and issues are addressed 

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of Music industry experience in Finance Management, Royalty Administration, or other related field required 
• At least 1 year experience in a leadership role within a music management, music publisher, record label or major distributor.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills with large data sets
• Proven experience in project management with the ability to manage complex workflows and deadlines.
• Excellent understanding of music rights management, royalty accounting, collective management organizations, rights flows, and licensing concepts
• Knowledgeable in standard practices and procedures within the music industry across major and independent companies
• A working knowledge of music industry systems (GTMS, Record Maestro, SR1) and data analytical tools (Power BI, Tableau) is advantageous
• Excellent written and verbal presentation skills with experience and ability to communicate and work closely with senior executives and clients
• A love and passion for music
• BA or master’s degree in the relevant field preferred
