Join One of the Northeast's Premier Private Shooting Sports Programs
Round Hill Club is seeking dependable, energetic, and service-oriented individuals to join our Shooting Sports team as a Part-Time Shooting Sports Trapper.
This position is much more than operating clay target machines. You'll play an important role in delivering an exceptional member experience by supporting safe field operations, maintaining equipment, assisting members and guests, and helping execute tournaments and special events.
Whether you're interested in shooting sports, hospitality, mechanics, or simply enjoy working outdoors, this is a unique opportunity to learn valuable skills in a first-class private club environment.
No prior shooting sports experience is required—we provide comprehensive training.
What You'll Do
- Prepare shooting fields before opening
- Load and operate automatic clay target machines
- Assist members and guests throughout their visit
- Monitor shooting fields to ensure a safe environment
- Help troubleshoot and maintain equipment
- Keep the shooting grounds clean, organized, and presentation-ready
- Support tournaments, instructional clinics, and club events
- Assist with opening and closing procedures

Physical Requirements
This position requires employees to:
- Lift up to 50 pounds
- Work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Walk throughout the property
- Stand for extended periods
- Bend, kneel, climb stairs, and work inside trap houses
- Perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the shift
Training Provided
Round Hill Club provides paid training in:
- Shooting Sports operations
- Automatic clay target systems
- Equipment troubleshooting
- Preventative maintenance
- Safety procedures
- Member service standards
- Tournament operations
- Private club hospitality
This position offers valuable experience in hospitality, operations, event management, customer service, and equipment maintenance.
Schedule
- Part-time seasonal position
- Weekend availability required
- Additional weekday shifts available during tournaments, events, and instructional programs
- Typical shifts run from morning through late afternoon
