Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise daily store operations, including sales floor activities, inventory control, and cashier functions to ensure operational excellence.
- Manage staff scheduling, employee orientation, training & development to build a motivated and skilled team.
- Oversee recruiting efforts, conduct interviewing processes, and select qualified candidates to strengthen the team.
- Implement effective merchandising strategies and manage pricing to maximize sales performance.
- Handle purchasing, stock management, inventory control, and bookkeeping to maintain accurate records and optimal stock levels.
- Ensure compliance with company policies on cash handling, POS systems operation, payroll processing, and store safety protocols.
- Develop and execute marketing initiatives to promote products and enhance customer engagement.
- Maintain excellent customer service standards by addressing customer inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring a welcoming environment.
- Monitor sales performance metrics, prepare reports on store operations, budgeting, and sales management to inform strategic decisions.
- Supervise shift management activities including cashiering, stock replenishment, and overall store presentation.
Experience
- Proven management experience within the retail industry with a focus on sales team leadership and store operations.
- Demonstrated success in supervising staff through training & development programs while fostering a team-oriented environment.
- Strong background in retail math including pricing strategies, sales analysis, budgeting, and inventory management.
- Experience with POS systems, cash handling procedures, payroll processing, and bookkeeping is essential.
- Familiarity with wireless sales or grocery store environments is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly valued for effective communication with diverse teams and customers.
- Prior assistant manager or managerial experience in retail settings is preferred; supervisory experience is essential for success in this role.
