Position Summary
Rotortrade USA Inc is hiring a Quality Inspector to support our growing MRO operation in Latrobe. You will play a key role in ensuring that maintenance activities, documentation, and releases meet Rotortrade’s quality standards and FAA regulatory requirements, with a strong focus on records compliance, inspection releases, and Repair Station documentation.
Key Responsibilities
1) Records Management & Compliance
- Support the Part 145 Inspection function to ensure accurate maintenance documentation, correct work order procedures, and proper updates to aircraft records linked to MRO activity
- Review work orders for accuracy and completion; issue FAA Form 8130-3 when applicable
- Verify compliance with Airworthiness Directives (ADs), Service Bulletins (SBs), and FAA requirements
- Maintain work order files and repair station records in line with 14 CFR Part 145
2) Technical Writing / Documentation
- Assist in maintaining and updating manuals and programs (including inspection programs and the Repair Station & Quality Control Manual – RSQCM)
- Coordinate document updates with managers to ensure accuracy, alignment with actual practices, and regulatory compliance
3) Maintenance Training Support
- Assist in coordinating and supporting required maintenance training for technicians within the Part 145 MRO
4) Inspector Responsibilities
- Execute FAA Form 337 and maintenance releases for all items returned to service by the repair station
- Maintain and audit the Shelf-Life program
- Support special assignments and quality projects as directed by the Manager of Quality
Job Requirements
- Current FAA A&P certificate (mandatory)
- Strong knowledge of 14 CFR Part 145 and proven experience in records management, quality assurance, and compliance
- Solid background in rotary-wing inspection
- Strong technical writing capability (manuals, procedures, inspection programs)
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams
- 5 years of relevant experience
- Engine knowledge is a strong plus: Safran, Rolls-Royce, Pratt & Whitney
