Excavation Laborer

We are seeking skilled, reliable workers to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll assist with a variety of excavation and site preparation projects, operating tools and equipment while working outdoors in all types of weather conditions.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and assist with equipment on excavation and descaling projects.

• Prepare the work site each day by organizing materials, tools, and equipment.

• Follow directions from supervisors and use equipment safely and effectively to complete daily tasks.

• Adhere to all health and safety regulations, wearing proper protective gear at all times.

• Complete assigned work efficiently and on schedule, ensuring quality and accuracy.

• Prepare new sites by digging, grading, moving dirt, or compacting soil as needed.

• Assist contractors and team members on-site with various construction and repair tasks.

• Clean up and remove debris, ensuring tools and equipment are properly cleaned and stored at the end of each shift.

• Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 80 pounds for extended periods.

• Able to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced, outdoor environment.

• Good interpersonal and communication skills with all levels of management and coworkers.

• Previous experience in construction, plumbing, excavation, or related field (preferred but not required).

• Familiarity with basic hand tools, power tools, and excavation equipment operation.

• Willingness to learn and follow safety procedures, including trenching and confined space guidelines.

• Reliable transportation to job sites and punctual attendance.

• Ability to work in varying weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.

• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to follow directions and complete tasks efficiently.

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (CDL a plus).
