Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Orthotic Technician based in Philadelphia, PA. The Orthotic Technician will be responsible for assisting with the fabrication, fitting, and adjustment of orthotic devices to meet patient needs. Key responsibilities include taking patient measurements, executing repairs or modifications on devices, and maintaining inventory and lab equipment. The role demands collaboration with clinical staff and adherence to safety and healthcare standards.
Qualifications
- Experience and proficiency in orthotics fabrication, adjustment, and maintenance techniques
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and the biomechanics of human movement
- Basic skills in operating hand tools, machinery, and technical equipment
- Attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals
- Physical capability to stand for extended periods and lift materials as needed
- Previous experience in orthotics, prosthetics, or a related field is preferred
- High school diploma or GED is required; certification or training in orthotic fabrication and fitting is a plus
