Rothe is looking for a talented, reliable, deadline-driven Graphic Designer to join our team supporting NASA Langley Research Center. The successful candidate will communicate ideas that inspire, inform, and captivate customers by designing graphic media for a wide range of products (including but not limited to animation, awards, banners, booklets, brochures, conceptual drawings, displays, exhibits, fabrication, fact sheets, icons, invitations, logos, posters, PowerPoint slides, reports, signage, technical drawings and web design elements) that are creative, technically accurate and adhere to the NASA style standards.
Additional requirements:
- Have a deep understanding of brand, culture, and objectives, creating consistent and customized graphics for internal and external needs.
- Initiate and maintain communication with clients to interpret project goals that meet or exceed client expectations.
- Must be able to work independently, within teams, and at times of high stress.
- Maintain excellent communications with team, client, and government customer.
- Able to absorb and apply constructive criticism from peers and clients.
- Must be organized and creative with the ability to accomplish multiple tasks while maintaining deadlines on a timely manner.
- Requires exceptional knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) applications.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge and experience of file preparation for both on-site and Government Print Office (GPO) print capabilities.
- Required on-site presence as needed.
- Other work as needed.
Experience and Education:
- Bachelor's degree in graphic design or a related field.
- 4 years in professional commercial design, preferably with a marketing, government, or creative agency.
- Candidates should have a portfolio that demonstrates their creativity and originality.
