Sales Engineer
About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled Sales Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting customers, identifying opportunities, and selling rotary unions, slip rings, and related precision rotary transmission solutions. This is an exciting opportunity to combine mechanical aptitude with consultative sales in a growing industrial market. You will work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and customer teams to deliver high-quality solutions and drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage customer relationships across manufacturing, automation, energy, medical, and other industrial sectors
- Understand customer applications and recommend appropriate rotary unions, slip rings, and custom solutions
- Provide technical product support, including reviewing specifications, drawings, and system requirements
- Prepare and deliver quotes, proposals, and product presentations
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to address technical questions and ensure accurate solutions
- Track sales activities, market trends, and competitive information
- Attend trade shows, customer visits, site evaluations, and product demonstrations as needed
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through responsive communication and problem-solving
Qualifications
Required:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field — or equivalent hands-on experience
- 2 years of experience in technical sales, industrial sales, or application engineering
- Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of rotating equipment or fluid/power transmission products
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
Preferred:
- Experience selling rotary unions, slip rings, swivel joints, or similar mechanical components
- Familiarity with manufacturing, automation systems, or precision machinery
- Ability to identify opportunities for customization and relay requirements to engineering teams
