Rota Robotics, LLC is an authorized distributor of Keenon Robotics, a global leader in commercial service robots. We’re seeking a motivated individual with a passion for automation, robotics, and real-world implementation. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, problem-solving, and working directly with customers to deploy and support robotic systems.
What You’ll Do:
Deployment & Setup
• Configure, program, and deploy robots at customer sites
• Support on-site installations, demos, and proof-of-concept setups
• Document deployment steps and field learnings to improve repeatable processes
• Work closely with senior team members to execute deployments and learn best practices
Customer Support & Training
• Train customers on robot operation and workflows
• Provide basic troubleshooting and support (on-site and remote)
Internal Support
• Assist with demos, trade shows, and presentations
• Help create training materials and documentation
• Support testing of workflows and robot performance
Travel Requirements:
• Travel required to customer and prospect sites (primarily within Michigan, with occasional regional travel)
• Estimated 20–40% travel, depending on active deployments
• Some overnight travel may be required during multi-day installations or trade shows
• Typical deployments may occur during off-hours (early morning, evenings, or non-peak business hours)
Ideal Candidate:
• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a technical, engineering, or related program—or equivalent hands-on experience
• Hands-on experience or strong interest in working with tools, equipment, or technical systems (e.g., robotics, AV, IT, mechanical, or similar)
• Strong interest in automation, robotics, and working with technology in real-world environments
• Comfortable using hand tools, basic wiring, and working directly with robotic hardware
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and adaptable to fast-changing environments
• Able to communicate clearly with non-technical customers and translate technical concepts into practical solutions
• Must have reliable transportation and ability to travel to customer sites
• Previous experience in customer-facing, field service, or hands-on technical roles is a plus
Bonus Qualifications:
• Experience with ROS, Python, or C
• Exposure to cloud-based systems, wireless networking, or embedded devices
• Familiarity with robot localization, mapping, or SLAM
Pay Scale:
• Part-Time: $22 – $28 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
• Full-Time: $60,000 – $80,000 annual salary range, with opportunity for growth and performance-based increases
