Front Desk Receptionist – Therapy Clinic
Position: Front Desk Receptionist
Reports to: Clinic Manager / Office Administrator
Position Summary
The Front Desk Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for patients, families, and visitors at our therapy clinic. This position is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing front office operations, and supporting clinical staff to ensure the smooth and efficient functioning of the clinic.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet patients, families, and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
- Answer and route phone calls, emails, and messages promptly.
- Schedule, confirm, and update patient appointments.
- Check patients in and out, verifying insurance and demographic information.
- Collect co-pays, payments, and maintain accurate financial records.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist with patient intake forms and explain clinic procedures as needed.
- Communicate effectively with therapists and administrative staff to ensure scheduling accuracy.
- Handle faxing, scanning, copying, and filing of patient documents.
- Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the front desk and waiting area.
- Order office and clinic supplies as directed.
- Support billing and administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a medical, therapy, or healthcare office preferred.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- Excellent multitasking, time management, and organizational abilities.
- Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs (e.g., office supplies, files).

Job Type: Contract
Pay: $12.00 - $13.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 40 per week
