License Requirement
- Possession of a full license to practice as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist in the State of New York; or
- Eligibility for full licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist in the State of New York; or
- Possession of a restricted license to practice as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist within the area of Cytogenetics in the State of New York; or
- Eligibility for restricted licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist within the area of Cytogenetics in the State of New York.
Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Technology or a related health care discipline.
Notes
- As a condition of continued employment, full license eligible incumbents must obtain and maintain the full Clinical Laboratory Technologist licensure in the State of New York within six (6) months of their appointment to this title; or
- As a condition of continued employment, restricted license eligible incumbents must obtain and maintain the restricted licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist within the area of Cytogenetics in the State of New York within fifteen (15) months of their appointment to this title.
- Possession of the Clinical Laboratory Technologist licensure supersedes educational requirements listed above, as stated in section 58-1.5 (b) of the NYS Codes, Rules and Regulations.
- Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited school, college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
