Summary
Roswell Park is seeking a full time Clinical Center Associate Trainee or Clinical Center Associate I. The Clinical Center Trainee is a trainee position designed to provide hands-on experience and training in clinical operations. Incumbents will perform trainee-level duties under supervision, with the goal of progressing to the full performance level of a Clinical Center Associate I. Starting hourly rate is $19.55.
The Clinical Center Associate I performs clerical support functions in an assigned inpatient or outpatient center(s) of the organization; answers routine inquiries; screens calls; assists visitors and patients; records and transcribes physician orders; maintains and coordinates clinic schedules; manages the co-pay collection process; participates in the team or group work activities in the center(s); performs the above duties and responsibilities in a confidential environment requiring direct supervision with limited latitude for utilizing judgment and initiative. Starting hourly rate is $21.81.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
Preferred Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have secretarial, customer service experience and working in a medical/receptionist environment.

Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
- Medical Office Assistant Associate’s degree and the equivalent of four (4) years of full-time administrative support experience in a clinical setting requiring the use of medical terminology; or
- Associate’s degree and the equivalent of five (5) years of full-time administrative support experience in a clinical setting requiring the use of medical terminology; or
- High School diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma, completion of an Roswell Park-approved Medical Assistant certificate program and the equivalent of five (5) year of full-time administrative support experience in a clinical setting requiring the use of medical terminology; or
- High School diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma and the equivalent of six (6) years of full-time administrative support experience in a clinical setting requiring the use of medical terminology; or
- High School diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma and the equivalent of five (5) year of full-time experience in customer service and successful completion of a Clinical Center Associate traineeship at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center (Roswell Park).
