The salary range for this position is $220,000 - $529,000 which includes a comprehensive benefits package. The listed pay range reflects the range of potential compensation for this role. The actual offer may vary based on qualifications, skills, and experience.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
License or Certification Requirement
Medical Doctor degree and prior full-time experience in the field of Medical Oncology or a specialty of Hematologic Oncology, Bone Marrow Transplantation, Solid Tumor/Investigational Therapeutics, Pulmonary Medicine, and Infectious Diseases.
Note
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited school, college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
Preferred Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of NIH funding and publication in high-impact journals, with strong consideration given to physician-scientists who have laboratory research experience and current, transferable funding. In addition, we are seeking a candidate with a history of investigator-initiated clinical research and successful funding. While not required, experience with immunotherapy and the ability to develop new treatments would be highly valued, as would the capability to enhance Roswell Park’s national and international visibility in this field.

Key Responsibilities
- Devote 60-80% of your time to clinical activities and 20-40% to research, ensuring a balance between patient care and advancing scientific discovery.
- Engage in translational research efforts, participate in clinical trials, and collaborate on grant opportunities to secure funding in your academic area of interest.
- Publish in peer-reviewed journals, contributing to the dissemination of knowledge in your field of expertise.
- Actively engage in scholarly activities, including teaching medical students, residents, and fellows, while adhering to all medical staff bylaws.
- Foster productive interactions between clinical and laboratory research efforts within the Department and with other units of Roswell Park and external institutions to enhance the overall volume and scientific quality of translational research.
- Serve on departmental and institutional committees, contribute to the Translational Research Group (TRG), and collaborate in inter-programmatic research efforts.
- Participate in the education mission, mentoring fellows, residents, Advanced ----Practice Providers (APPs), and faculty in cancer research and clinical care.
- Build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with scientists and clinicians at RPCI and other institutions, focusing on advancing cancer research.

- Possession of or eligibility for a valid medical specialty certificate in Medical Oncology or a specialty of Hematologic Oncology, Bone Marrow Transplantation, Solid Tumor/Investigational Therapeutics, Pulmonary Medicine, and Infectious Diseases.
