Customer Service
- Serve as primary point of contact for order status, lead times, and availability.
- Enter and maintain accurate sales orders in the ERP; verify pricing, ship-to, and terms.
- Coordinate samples/PPAP timing, tooling changes, and schedule updates with internal teams.
- Provide customers with requested documentation (COC, lot traceability, material certs).
- Process RMAs and coordinate corrective actions with Quality and Production.
- Plan and purchase resin, colorants, additives, and packaging to support the production schedule.
- Issue POs, confirm acknowledgements, track deliveries, and expedite as needed.
- Monitor supplier lead times and negotiate pricing to meet cost targets.
- Resolve receiving discrepancies and invoice mismatches with suppliers and Accounting.
- Maintain supplier certifications, SDS, and compliance documentation.
- Communicate customer requirements to Scheduling, Quality, and Engineering.
- Ensure material availability prior to mold changeovers and startup.
- Support cycle counts and inventory accuracy; assist with safety stock settings.
- Coordinate with Shipping/Receiving for inbound materials and outbound orders.
Required
- 2–4 years of customer service or purchasing experience in manufacturing.
- Proficiency with ERP/MRP and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook).
- Strong communication, organization, and follow-through in a fast-paced environment.
- Injection molding or plastics experience.
- Familiarity with thermoplastics, engineering resins, and color concentrates.
- Basic understanding of PPAP/APQP and supplier quality documentation.
- Create/maintain customer orders and purchase orders; ensure documentation accuracy.
- Track open orders and shipments; communicate risks and recovery plans.
- Provide required documents for audits (COC, SDS, supplier certs, lot traceability).
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and reconcile variances.
- Support continuous improvement, 5S, and cost reduction initiatives.
