Ross Local School District is seeking a dedicated and student-focused Intervention Specialist to join our team serving students in Kindergarten through 4th grade.
Position Responsibilities
- Provide specially designed instruction and support to students with disabilities in accordance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Develop and implement engaging, differentiated lessons based on student needs and goals.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families.
- Monitor and document student progress toward IEP goals.
- Participate in IEP meetings, evaluations, and other required special education processes.
- Provide academic, behavioral, and social-emotional support as appropriate.
- Maintain accurate student records and documentation.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
- Utilize data to guide instruction and make informed decisions regarding student needs.
- Support students in developing independence, confidence, and successful learning habits.
Qualifications
- Valid Ohio Intervention Specialist teaching license appropriate for the assigned grade levels.
- Strong knowledge of special education practices, differentiated instruction, and IEP development.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and staff.
- Experience working with elementary-aged students preferred.
- Commitment to meeting the individual needs of all learners.
