Description:
The district is seeking a qualified Intervention Specialist (PK5) for a one-year limited contract for the 20262027 school year. This position will begin the school year by covering a maternity leave for approximately the first 12 weeks, followed by a transition into a caseload management role serving students across the district's elementary buildings for the remainder of the school year.
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction to students with disabilities in accordance with IEP goals and objectives
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Maintain compliance with all state and federal special education requirements
- Manage and support a caseload of students across multiple elementary buildings following the maternity leave assignment
- Participate in team meetings, evaluations, and progress monitoring
Qualifications:
- Valid Ohio Intervention Specialist license (PK5 or equivalent)
- Knowledge of special education law and best practices
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Ability to work flexibly across multiple elementary settings
