DENTAL ASSISTANT – INSTRUCTOR – PART TIME - MORNINGS & EVENINGS

We are looking for experienced Dental Assistants to become fully trained instructors for year round morning and evening classes Monday-Friday 8:30-1 and M-Th 5:30-10. We are looking for PRN too, so please let us know your availability.

Dental Assistant Instructor duties include:
- Teach in the Dental Assisting classroom with 10-20 students, covering clinical and administrative skills.
- Learning the material and delivering lectures and demonstrations, working from the Ross lesson plans and curriculum.
- Class sessions are 4.5 hours in either day or evening sessions.
- This is a part-time position, typically 9-18 hours per week.

Requirements
- 3 years’ experience in the medical assisting field and formal training from an accredited institution. Must be able to obtain a national certification as medical assistant. Individuals without a formal education, must have with a minimum of 5 years’ experience working in the medical field and a national certification. Additional requirements or exceptions may be applicable based on the state, program, and accreditation requirements.
- Interest in teaching or prior experience
- Must be flexible and have a passion to learn and grow

- Ability to use current technology to maintain student records

- Knowledge of materials (subjects) that will be taught to students and ability to use and communicate Ross curriculum
- Ability to adapt quickly in fast-paced work environment
- Ability to achieve or maintain credential and/or licensure within expected time frames
- Demonstrates professionalism in manner, dress and conduct as a representative of Ross and a student mentor
- Ability to remain objective and treat all students equally
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Adhere to Ross Code of Conduct and Professional Ethics
- Clinical Coordinators need to have ability to travel to visit clinical sites or other meetings
- Prior teaching or formal tutoring experience using a developed curriculum, preferred
- Perform related work as required
