Heavy Equipment Operator
Responsibilities:
- Operate Equipment such as excavators, loaders, and backhoes.
- Operate Heavy equipment for a variety of tasks, including loading trucks, excavation of ponds, and building foundations.
- Ensure precise excavation to specified depths and dimensions as outlined in project plans.
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and OSHA guidelines on the job site.
- Collaborate with site supervisors and other team members to ensure project timelines are met.
Requirements:
- Proven experience operating heavy equipment in construction settings.
- Expertise in loading trucks and performing excavation work for ponds and buildings.
- Familiarity with site grading and earthmoving techniques.
- Strong understanding of job site safety practices.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans.
- Willingness to work on emergency jobs and adapt to project needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience with large-scale construction projects.
- 10-hour OSHA training certification.
